OZe OSM (Object Storage Management)

Specifications

OZe OSM is built 100% in Java, and uses "Best-of-Breed" components to provide an OSM solution to meet the specific needs and requirements of each client.

Software
· Client - Web Browser (Most current Browsers are supported).
· Web Server - Any Web Server that can integrate with a JSP/Servlet Engine.
· JSP/Servlet Engine - any JSP/Servlet Engine that conforms to the JSP 1.2 and Servlet 2.3 standards.
· Database - Any database that is JDBC 2.0 compliant.
· Object Repository - Any File system that is made accessible to OZe OSM (O/S independent).

Hardware
Hardware Specifications are defined on a per-system basis, based on the number of users, the size of the indexing structure, and how much storage space is required.

To show the absolute scalability of OZe OSM here is a minimum list of requirements that would get you up and running. With this system you could easily and service 10 concurrent users with moderate indexing requirements, being accessed over the LAN:

· Pentium II 233 PC
· 128 MB RAM
· 100 MB HDD**

* Suggested components for this system:
Operating System: Linux
Database: MySQL
JSP/Servlet Engine: Apache Tomcat

**Extra disk space would be required to store the actual files (Object Repository).

True Scalability
For large enterprise-wide solutions, OZe OSM does not require any upgrades or special patches to the software. The only constraint is the hardware and software components that you choose to implement within your system. Now that's true scalability!

Note: Any products mentioned here are intended as an example only, and should not be interpreted as a suggested solution. OZe Storage Systems assesses each situation independently and makes suggestions based on the requirements of each solution.
