OZe OSM (Object Storage Management) Overview Object Storage Management is not just file archiving and retrieval. The OZe OSM is a simple, yet powerful Object Storage Management system that alleviates the burden associated with managing traditional paper based storage, as well as any computerized (digital) object. OZe OSM purposely employs Best-Of-Breed Components to implement many of its subsystems. OZe OSM provides a fully functional, high-end object storage and retrieval system that is inherently Web/LAN/VPN-Ready. From the Small to Medium sized Enterprises, right up to a Fortune 1000 company, the OZe OSM can meet your needs. Built 100% in Java, the OZe OSM is truly a platform independent product. Client/Admin: The OZe OSM doesn not have a proprietory client. All access, whether Client or Administrator is done via a Web Browser. Object Import: Any Object can be imported into the OZe OSM. An object can be imported with pre-existing index information, or it can be imported, and indexed on-line. Web Server, JSP/Servlet Engine: The OZe OSM can be installed on any JSP/Servlet Engine that complies with the JSP/Servlet specification 1.2/2.3. These include WebSphere, Tomcat and JRun. JDBC Compliant Database: The OZe OSM can be installed with any Database that has a JDBC 2.0 Driver. These include: MySQL, Oracle, IBM DB2, MS SQL Server, Informix, Ingres and Sybase. Existing Legacy data or lookup tables can easily be integrated into the OZe OSM application through the OZe OSM Integration Interface. Object Repository: The physical location of the stored files are kept. The OZe OSM can store up to 2^63 -1 fully indexed Objects. 3RD Party Tools/Utilities: These are industry standard tools commonly used in providing extra functionality. They include, but are not limited to: Optical Character Recognition (OCR), Intelligent Character Recognition (ICR), Optical Mark Recognition (OMR), Indexing via the content of a document (e.g. Word, PDF or Text) and Natural searching and/or Full Text searching.
